This product replaces an entire computer desktop box with a small low-cost box that will perform word-processing functions. It will connect to the usual (user supplied) computer components such as:

The added components can be from an old "junk" system or purchased new. The box is low-power and does not require any fan so it is totally silent. The User can input, save and print out jobs without having a PC. No PC is required!

Features:

It has built in "dual-mode" Word Processing software that can instantly switch between simple and advanced modes. The system is usable on the first day in the simple mode without any training. The user can later switch to a smart mode or just stay in the simple mode.
Instant-On. No operating system to go wrong. It instantly starts up in the word-processing mode
The system may be used for simple training tasks such as learning a keyboard etc. Schools that teach keyboarding can use a standard keyboard or there are (third-party keyboards )available with all blank keys.

Security. Since the system uses its own internal flash memory operating system, it cannot be modified by external software. This means the system cannot ever get a virus, pop-up software, Ad-ware or Spi-ware. The standard system does not be connected to the internet and cannot have games loaded on it. If someone is using the system, they are probably doing something constructive.

A sleep mode saves even more power.

File Storage: The system can store up to 11 files in the internal memory of the basic mode or an infinite amount of files using the advanced mode SD card. Each file may be up to 16384 characters . Since a typical letter has 1580 characters , this represents over 10 pages per each file. Each SD file can be expanded to 17 sections with each section each holding 10 pages for a total of 170 pages per document. SD files can be exported to other computers as a single large file. Files are formatted in HTML format (like email files). The file can be swapped with Windows- based or Apple systems.

Bridge to Windows: The features are designed to prepare someone to use their next computer. This system may use a mouse when in the advanced mode and uses drop-down boxes, etc. The advanced mode uses the usual File, Edit,... drop boxes and the same cut and paste keys used in advanced word processors..

Keyboards can be any standard PS/2 type. These are available everywhere. Special feature keyboards are available from 3rd party companies that offer capabilities such as blank keys or large keycap keys for people with diminished physical capacities.
